    Setting Up Your Ad Account

    You need a Facebook Business Page and a Meta Business Suite account. From there, go to Ads Manager. Install the Meta Pixel on your website — this is critical for tracking conversions and building retargeting audiences. Set up your payment method and verify your domain.

    Campaign Structure That Works

    Use the CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization) structure. One campaign, 3-5 ad sets with different audiences, and 2-3 ad creatives per ad set. Start with a $20-50/day budget. Choose the Conversions objective if you want leads or sales — never use Reach or Engagement for business growth.

    Targeting Stack

    Ad Set 1: Interest-based targeting (people interested in your niche)

    Ad Set 2: Lookalike audience (1% lookalike of your customers or website visitors)

    Ad Set 3: Broad targeting (let Meta's AI find your customers — works well with good creative)

    Ad Creative That Converts

    Your creative matters more than your targeting. A great ad stops the scroll, communicates the offer, and drives action. Use high-contrast images or short video (under 15 seconds). Lead with the benefit or the pain point, not your brand name. Include a clear call-to-action.

    Let your campaign run for at least 3-5 days before making changes. Kill ad sets with a cost per result above your target. Scale winning ad sets by increasing budget 20-30% every 3 days. Refresh creatives every 2-3 weeks to prevent ad fatigue.
